Maybe things have improved since you banked with them?
Their policy must be inconsistent then. I still bank with Barclays and have done for many years. We moved location and hence changed branches and since then I can never reach the business account manager that I met.

Previously I had DL, mobile and email - now I'm allowed nothing only to leave messages for my business manager when I can't reach him via the main 0845 number....... it's not a good set-up but luckily I don't need to speak to him much anyway.......

My business account is HSBC. They charge £17 for T/T to other UK banks, so...expensive for transferring small amount!

I have tried setting up an account over the Internet with Santander and I've had nothing but trouble with them.

In the end I gave up and went to the Co-op, who are still offering 18 month's free business banking. Many banks are offering a similar type of deal but at the time, the Co-op were offering the best deal.
